Puppet-raisings and Rehearsal at SCM
Nearly 100 people contributed their time, labor, and imaginations to the making of Trickster. Ananse the Spider was constructed during our first annual one-week workshop held at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. The other five Trickster puppets were constructed at open community workdays - we call them Puppet-raisings at SCM's barn in Barrytown, NY. Coming from the entire tri-state region, participants brought every imaginable type of experience to the task at hand, while we brought a pile of drawings and a bigger pot of soup. The chemistry was perfect and in a few short weeks Trickster came to life!
